Alles wordt gefilmd in en rond de Lada Niva, die uitgerust wordt met GPS, microfoons en zeven camera's. Hoogtepunt van de reis is het rendierhoudersfeest op de Dag van de Inheemse Volken bij Krasnoe. Voor dit culturele project wordt er nauw samengewerkt met de Nenetsorganisatie Yasavey Manzara. Deze kalender bevat foto's van Rosanne van Klaveren en historische kaarten van het gebied dat zij zal bezoeken.
In the summer of 2013, Rosanne van Klaveren, media artist and volunteer for Arctic Peoples Alert, will drive her Lada Niva to Naryan Mar in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug. She will offer her car as a gift to a Nenets family of reindeer herders to support their traditional lifestyle. This will be the topic of the road movie Niva to Nenets. On the road, Greenlanders, Saami, Komi and Nenets will discuss the continuation of their way of life.
The paradoxical character of charity and bringing help will also be discussed. Everything will be filmed in and around the Lada Niva, which will be equipped with GPS, microphones and seven cameras. Highlight of the trip is the reindeer herders feast on the Day of the Indigenous Peoples in Krasnoye. This cultural project will be done in close cooperation with the Nenets organization Yasavey Manzara. This calendar contains photographs by Rosanne van Klaveren and historical maps of the area.
